Exquisitely crafted from the finest blocks of our hillside estate, the 2023 Sofia's Vineyard exudes elegance and poise. Deep garnet-purple in hue, the 2023 Sofia's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon unwinds in the glass revealing brooding aromas of dark berries, cassis, black fig preserves, and graphite accented by notes of dried violets and fragrant earth. Sourced from the steep, gravelly hillside blocks of the Skipstone estate, the wine's remarkable depth and concentration speak to the power and precision of its origin. The full-bodied entry is dense and seamless with enticing layers of black fruit that build to an epically long, palate-staining finish. Patience will be rewarded with extended cellaring. The 2022 Luka’s Blend slowly unfurls to reveal an enticing bouquet of graphite, dried sage, blackberry reduction, forest floor, sweet cinnamon, and warm clay, accented by wafts of lavender, cedar, and wet stone. Dense and rich, the wine coats the palate with an elixir of red fruits and Asian spices framed by a backbone of plush, powdery tannins on the remarkably long finish. This wine has the structure and drive to enhance with extended cellaring. Best enjoyed 2027-2052; we recommend at least a 3 hour decant if opening in the coming years.

The 2023 Malbec opens with a captivating bouquet of blackberry compote, wild blueberries, dried lavender, Sichuan pepper, and pine resin. On the palate, it reveals an impressive core of black raspberry and boysenberry punctuated by intriguing hints of warm clay and Asian spices. Another highly polished Merlot bottling from our estate’s benchland Merlot block. Wafting from the glass is an extraordinary bouquet of late-season raspberries and plum, intermingling with tea leaf and cedar. As with its “Right Bank companion,” Faultline Vineyard, this 2019 exhibits the fleshy, ripe, mouth-filling fruit character we have seen across all of our 2019s at Skipstone. This silky mouthfeel and core of red and blue fruits, draped with baking spices, cascades across the palate and finishes for up to a minute. Best enjoyed 2023-2034; we recommend at least a 1 hour decant to allow the wine to unfurl in your glass today.

The 2023 Ripple Effect opens with attractive aromatics of crushed red cherry, raspberry compote, and dried cranberry accented with earthy notes of petrichor and dried sage. The palate is plush and complex, delivering concentrated layers of dark fruits framed by accents of warm baking spice, cocoa nib, and dried herbs. The finish is extended and seamless with finely woven tannins. Beautifully balanced now, this wine will continue to evolve gracefully over the next decade. The 2023 Viognier offers an intensely aromatic bouquet of jasmine, honeysuckle, yellow apple, and white melon with hints of aniseed and quince. A tribute to Constance, Fahri’s lady love and passionate devotee of the wines of Champagne. Skipstone partners with the Champagne house, Diebolt-Vallois, to produce this stunning Blanc de Blancs from their 50+ year old Chardonnay plantings in the famed Côte de Blancs.

7 acres of Manzanillo olive trees line the driveway into our property, from which Skipstone produces COOC certified Extra Virgin Olive Oil. We proudly donate 100% of the revenues from our olive oil sales to our local volunteer firefighters.
