Since 2008, Juan has learned every job at Skipstone, working from the ground up. Making the transition to vineyard work was hard but he now reflects that all the best things that have happened in his life happened after his arrival at Skipstone. He is happy to be settled down with a beautiful, loving family and now manages the entire property, including the intensive efforts in the vineyard, olive orchards and formal grounds surrounding the residence.
To Juan, Skipstone is a dream job and he says everything he did before Skipstone has served as the preparation necessary to manage a serious project of this scale. He feels very thankful that he was given the opportunity to show his capabilities and to have an opportunity to be part of something special. When looking five or ten years ahead, he says he still wants to be doing what he’s doing. His affection and gratitude for Skipstone is immense, and here at Skipstone we believe some of that spirit makes it into each bottle.
